The Korea Tourism Organization (President Ahn Young-bae) produced video content that vicariously experiences beautiful destinations in Korea with virtual YouTuber ‘Rui’ to entertain the people in difficult travel situations.
Rui (producer D.O.B. Studio) is a virtual figure created by synthesizing virtual faces made with AI technology in the video and has become a hot topic through its own YouTube channel 'RuiCovery' for its friendly appearance and outstanding singing skills.
In this video, Rui filmed a music video of his cover song against the backdrop of Hadong, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Gurye, Jeollanam-do which is popular among the MZ generation and combines tradition and nature, showing off his specialty in singing and dancing. There are a total of three videos, including two online travel videos and music videos, and Rui's appearance, who vividly conveys the beauty of the destination as a 'travel bouquet (another character or self-referring word to describe oneself), is expected to present a new joy with refreshing and cheerful song and dance for a spring day.
The videos can be found on the YouTube channel of the corporation 'Every corner of Korea', and the first video uploaded on the 15th is currently being released, and the second online travel video and music video will be released on the 22nd.
In addition to the main episode, short travel highlights and dance videos set in major attractions such as Hadong Jeonggeum Tea Garden, Gurye Seomjingang Bamboo Forest Road, and Ssangsanjae will be released sequentially until the 29th through video sharing services in every corner of Korea(@kto9suk9suk) and Rui(@ruui_li) Instagram.
Kang Jong-soon, head of the Digital Marketing Team, said, "Rui is expected to have synergies with the corporation 'Every corner of Korea' channel as a character suitable for non-face-to-face travel content that can provide travel experience and deliver bright energy."
