Daejeon City announced on the 25th that it will operate a ‘2021 Korail-linked tourism program’ that will provide tour vehicles to tourists from other regions visiting Daejeon using Korail.

The program, which is promoted in cooperation with KORAIL, is a program that prevents the spread of COVID-19 and allows visitors to travel safely and comfortably by providing large buses with 12 to 20 group visitors, small buses with 6 to 11 people, and small passenger cars with 2 to 5 people.

Daejeon City's Korail-linked tourism program runs from April 26 to December, and applications for participation can be made through reservations on the online reservation site (www.tour2021.kr) and the Korail Tourism Development website (www.korailtravel.com).

Participants should comply with quarantine guidelines such as wearing masks, checking heat, preparing electronic access lists, and sitting apart for health and safety.

On the other hand, Daejeon City will establish a non-face-to-face mission tour to freely travel to Daejeon in a decentralized form depending on the ongoing Korona 19 situation this year and If the social distancing stage is the second stage, it will be operated in parallel with the existing face-to-face tour (limited to two to four small people).

For non-face-to-face mission tours, you can set a date you want and apply for a pre-tour online (www.tour2021.kr), and then visit Daejeon to receive safety kits and drawing sketchbooks at the tourist information center you were informed in advance, and carry out missions freely.

If proof of mission tour is certified on various SNS after the trip, 30,000 won will be paid to travelers aged 13 or older and 20,000 won will be paid to travelers aged 6 or under 13 as vehicle support.

"These days, when we miss outside activities more than ever, tourists will be able to enjoy Daejeon more conveniently through the Korail-linked tourism program," said Kim Chang-il, head of the tourism marketing division in Daejeon. "We will continue to discover and operate safe and diverse free travel elements.“
