The Daejeon Metropolitan Tourism Association unanimously elected Vice Chairman Yang Dong-gi (representative around the world) as the 12th chairman at the 2021 delegate general meeting held in the conference room on the 3rd floor of the Daejeon Travel Lounge at 6 pm on the 20th.
Daejeon Metropolitan City Tourism Association was established in 1989 and is a group consisting of 350 tourism businesses, including travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, professional recreation, and international conference business, and is doing its best to promote Daejeon tourism. In addition, the UCLG General Assembly in 2022 is preparing to inform the Daejeon tour and welcome the representatives of 5,000 cities visiting Daejeon.
On this day, the extraordinary general meeting was held as a by-election following the sudden death of the 11th late Chairman Cheol-won Choi. The new chairman Yang Dong-gi, who had been running as a single candidate, was unanimously elected and elected as the 12th president of the delegates.
The new chairman Yang Dong-gi expressed his feelings for the election, “I will do my best to revive tourism over the survival crisis of Daejeon tourism industry due to the prolonged COVID-19 outbreak, establish the association's financial independence, protect the rights of member companies, and achieve harmony and unity”.
