Busan Metropolitan City, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the International Esports Federation on Aug. 30 said they will jointly host from Aug. 31 to Sept. 1 the sixth annual Global Esports Executive Summit (GEES) at Busan E-sports Arena.
GEES attracts figures from around the world related to e-sports to share information on the global industry and create synergy through exchanges.
The inaugural summit in 2016 was held in Shanghai, China, but Busan has since hosted it from 2017.
Under the slogan "Evolving and adapting," the summit will be held in a hybrid online-offline format and comprise an opening ceremony, discussion sessions and an awards ceremony.
