Autumn in Korea is when "five grains and 100 fruits" are harvested, making the season the year's best for delicious food.

The five fall grains and fruits are used as ingredients in various desserts that herald the arrival of autumn in the country.

Missing such treats means waiting a year for another chance at them, so eating them before autumn is over is highly recommended.

The most "viral" dessert on social media nowadays is Greek yogurt peach, which has a refreshing look and great taste. Small cafes to luxury hotels are in a heated competition to offer the dessert.

Eating this dessert involves removing the seed from the peeled peach, putting Greek yogurt in it, and sprinkling honey and granola.

The bakery Mont St. Clair at Banyan Tree Club and Spa Seoul is holding through Sept. 30 the sale of tarte aux peches (upside-down peach tart) filled with fromage cream in a yellow peach aged for two weeks to bring out more sweetness.

The establishment is housed at Banyan Tree in Seoul's Jung-gu District and a branch is within Hyundai Department Store's Apgujeong branch in the city's Gangnam-gu District. The treat is rich in fruit juice that makes the dessert more fragrant and sweet. Under the peach lies a crunchy and nutty almond tart, which brings out more flavor. The price is KRW 15,000 per piece.
