Daejeon City announced that it will hold a special exhibition of insect samples and sculptures at the Daejeon Insect Ecology Exhibition Hall from the 20th to December 19th to provide citizens with various attractions.
This exhibition of insect samples and sculptures was designed to enhance the understanding of insects and the effectiveness of hands-on learning.
You can see the world's rare insect samples such as Hercules beetle and dragon tail butterfly on-site, and you can also see the actual appearance of sample insects through QR code images.
In addition, you can watch unique insect exhibits such as three-dimensional insect specimen using mirrors and insect robots made using actual insect scab wings, not just simple sample exhibitions.
According to the step-by-step recovery of daily life, viewing is possible on weekends without reservation, and group viewing is also possible in compliance with the basic quarantine rules.
Park Ik-kyu, head of the Agricultural and Life Policy Division at Daejeon City, said, "I hope this exhibition will serve as an opportunity for citizens to access rare insects worldwide and help improve and revitalize awareness of the insect industry.“
