Do you know about WTCO, the World's Top Chefs Organization that started in Korea?

World Top Chefs Organization: to share the beautiful spirit of culinary and spread the awareness of food culture around the world.

WTCO (World Top Chefs Organization) is a non-governmental international organization aimed at sharing the spirit of cooking and spreading awareness of food culture around the world. It was founded by the famous culinary researcher, Madame Yang Hyang-ja and Nam Yong-gin, a culinary activist.

The organization is a joint cooperation established on November 1, 2020, for win-win development between culinary organizations and chefs around the world. The organization held its first general meeting through video conference (non-face-to-face meeting, due to Corona 19) in Seoul on May 8, 2021.

The World Top Chef Organization (WTCO) was established to reflect the rich human life in happiness energy through joint development and cooperation of world chefs through traditional cuisine and food culture and to build and protect international culinary standards and culture.

In addition, WTCO establishes international cooking standardization, chef expertise improvement, rights protection, and top chef qualification standards, establishing a joint cooperation system for win-win cooperation with chefs in the future global market.

WTCO currently has 7 member countries, including Korea, Turkey, Chile, Switzerland, Macedonia, Taiwan, and Syria. In May this year, the organization, along with its member countries' representatives, will gather to hold a major cooking festival - The 19th International Food & Tableware Festival and Culinary Olympics.

As soon as the COVID-19 pandemic is over and countries reopen borders, projects such as exchange and cooperation between state agencies, certification of international cooking competitions, selection of the world's best chefs, and publication of representative magazines will be further promoted worldwide.
