On February 17, 2022, Korea's leading Korean food franchise, BoniF (본아이에프), has celebrated its 20th anniversary of launching and outstanding business achievement of its 'win-win' management this year.

A representative example this year is that it has surpassed 2,020 franchise stores nationwide with five brands. This is the first fruit in about 20 years since 2002, when it was first launched as the first Bonjuk store, and it can be seen as a result of proving the communication and mutual bond with franchisees. It also received a commendation from the industry person who raised the status of the franchise industry through exemplary win-win management.

This was possible because of the increase in sales and win-win cooperation with franchisees and local communities through effective support measures that were highly evaluated in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, since 2016, Bonjuk and Bonjuk & Bibimbap have been forming mutual bonds and preventing disputes by continuously collecting on-site opinions through regular meetings with affiliated groups.

Bonseolleongtang (본설렁탕) is a strategy to focus on stability for the initial settling rather than speeding up the opening of stores. Since its launch, the head office has paid all of the advertising expenses for several years until now, and actively implemented a win-win policy with franchisees, such as reducing product supply prices and royalties. As a result, in November of last year, sales rose 118% compared to the previous year, recording the highest sales ever since the start of the franchise business.

In addition, we are fulfilling our social responsibilities, such as conducting social contribution activities utilizing the brand characteristics together with the store owner and looking after the underprivileged.

Bonjuk, Bonjuk & Bibimbap's representative social contribution 'I'm here for the elderly Bonjuk' is the beginning. Its main content is to regularly distribute warm and hearty raw porridge to the elderly in vulnerable groups and to check their safety and support a healthy life. From 2009 to the end of last year, 79,204 bowls of Bonjuk were shared with Bonjuk, Bonjuk & Bibimbap franchisees.

It's not just the elderly. In order to provide memories to children in small communal households and group homes, Bondosirak develops 'Bondosirak, a special birthday' as a representative social contribution. For three years from 2019, 119 group homes and 213 children's birthdays were celebrated with the Korea Children's and Youth Group Home Council, and 1548 lunch boxes were shared.

Together with the franchisees, it is contributing to the win-win for the local community. Bonseolleongtang (본설렁탕) is sharing seolleongtang (설렁탕) with various vulnerable groups such as the elderly and grandparents through the 'My Neighborhood Bonseolleongtang Sharing Challenge'. Bonseolleongtang, which has been shared with the local community for 7 years, is equivalent to 14,335 servings.

An official from BonIF said, “We will continue to make efforts for shared growth with the store owner while fulfilling our corporate social responsibility to return customer love to all parts of our society in the future.”
