There is a cape at the end of Jangibando in Pohang City. That’s called Homi Cape. Its name is originated as it is located at the ‘tail’ part of tiger-shaped the Korea Peninsula. What you can see first as you arrive at Homi Cape is the sculpture called ‘Hand of Coexistence’. Completed in December 1999, this sculpture was built to hope for helping each other in the upcoming new Millenium.
The characteristic of this road is driving with the scenery of seaside. View of sunset through a car window is marvelous.
People are crowded at New Year’s Day to see the first sunrise of the year. Rarely, the road is blocked as if it’s a parking lot.
You can easily find fishing boats anchored in the port. Pohang is busy with catching crabs in autumn. Among them, Guryongpo Port close to Road No. 929 holds half of the catch.
Rice fields are spread out while driving along the road. Rice and silver grass make you feel autumn deeper and wider.
Take a rest while driving along the road if you find a view in your favor. Road No. 929 has multiple byways to villages.
