Gugok Falls, located in Gangchon, is more popular in autumn with beautiful colored leaves. Gugok Falls means falls around nine bends.
It is only a 15-minute walk from Gugok Falls Ticket Office. 15 minutes of walking along the road full of red leaves give you pleasant experience by nature.
Gugok Falls is also a good place to visit with children.
There is a rest area in the middle of the pathway, where you can eat some simple food. Besides, you can also relax with a cup of coffee or a drink.
If you stroll around the pathway, finally you will arrive at Gugok Falls. After a lot of rain, you can see the waterfall pouring more powerfully, and in the wintertime, it is said to be more spectacular by creating beautiful ice walls.
If you walk about 40 minutes from Gugok Falls, there is Munbae Village where you can try delicious foods such as Sanchae Bibimbap(Bibimbap with wild vegetables) and Baeksuk(Korean chicken soup). It could be a great idea to visit Munbae Village afterward.
