Bon Group has laid the foundation for sustainable management through business diversification from Bonjuk to affiliates, group catering, baby food, and HMR. As a 'franchise-specialized company' that encompasses non-dining out and non-Korean food, Bon Group is discovering new businesses and promoting growth.

The franchise-specialized company Bon Group recorded a record high of 330 billion won in consolidated sales last year.

Sales increased by 20.48% from the previous year (273.9 billion won), and operating profit increased by 264% to 14.1 billion won in one year. It can be seen that the franchise business that started with 'Bonjuk', the beginning of the company, as well as group catering and baby food, have settled down well.

BonIF, a Korean food franchise, posted sales of 248.2 billion won, 27.2% from the previous year (195.2 billion won), and an operating profit of 12.4 billion won, up 167% from the prior year (6.4 billion won). Annual and monthly sales of more than 2,000 franchisees nationwide as well as the headquarters also increased.

Bon Food Service, a group catering and food material distribution corporation, also succeeded in turning a profit amid the Corona crisis. Bon Food Service's sales rose about 29.6% year-on-year to 75.8 billion won last year, and its operating profit turned into a surplus of 1 billion won. In particular, this is significant because it results from improvements in the structure of group catering, such as increasing orders for good business sites such as industrial companies in a difficult situation in the aftermath of the Corona crisis and raising unit prices through increased customer satisfaction.

In addition, PureBon also recorded the best performance at the end of last year with the baby food and home convenience food (HMR) business. Net sales last year were 26.3 billion won, an increase of about 21% compared to the previous year, and operating profit increased by nearly 156%. Sales of baby food and HMR were KRW 8.2 billion and KRW 18 billion, respectively, up 26% and 18% from the previous year, showing growth in both significant businesses. PureBon plans to focus on improving satisfaction by strengthening services based on customer demand.

In addition, the group plans to promote growth by focusing on discovering new businesses in the future based on the core capabilities of existing businesses.

An official from the group said, "Starting as a Korean food franchise brand, we have built a sustainable management portfolio through business diversification from franchise business to group catering to baby food and HMR for about 19 years," adding, "From this year, our 20th anniversary of founding, we will expand our branches into a 'franchise-specialized company' that encompasses non-dining out and non-Korean food sectors."
