The 2nd 2022 Daejeon Bakery Festival "Bread Gathering Party" was held for two days, from May 21 to 22, at the Daejeon Modern and Contemporary History Exhibition Hall.
The first Bakery Festival in Korea was held last year with the goal of "Proving the value of coexistence with bread and making Daejeon a fun city". The results were evaluated as successful. Over 120,000 people from all over the country visited for two days, and the number of views of various communities was more than 8 million. Visitors from all over the country came to Daejeon for the Bakery Festival. There was also the splendor of being registered for the first time in the Daejeon Festival on Namu Wiki, the nation's top website.
Mr. Kim Tae-Ho (김태호) is the Chairman of the Daejeon Bakery Festival Organizing Committee. The Organizing Committee of the Bread Festival said that it will become a national bread festival in name and reality, with more bakeries participating and various programs being prepared than in the previous one.
Sungsimdang, the Daejeon branch of the Korea Confectionery Association, and local bakeries have worked together to create bread streets, bread sculptures, and photo zones. It planned to create the world's largest bakery and imprint Daejeon as a city of bread in name and reality, and plan to overflow Daejeon with visitors 365 days a year.
Mr. Kim Tae-ho, chairman of the organizing committee of the Daejeon Bakery Festival, said, "Luxury bread from all over the country will be gathered in Daejeon, the central honey jam city in Korea." He added, "We ask for your attention and support so that bakeries representing each region and alley can coexist."
He added, "I would like to suggest visiting Daejeon to experience the city's romance of freshly baked bread and oyster jam with your loved ones at the 2nd Bread Gathering Party."
