The EXPO, which was originally scheduled to be held in October 2021, will be postponed for one year to prevent the spread of COVID19.
An international military culture festival is set to happen in the upcoming October. Its goal is to promote exchange in world military trade, enhance mutual understanding and further encourage cooperation, all for the aim of a peaceful tomorrow.
The Gyeryong Wolrd Military Culture Expo 2022 will occur on October 7th-23rd, lasting 17 days, on a runway close to the Gyeryongdae military base. According to the organizers, the location of this event speaks for Korea's unmovable aspiration for peace. The theme of this event is "K-Military, Harmony of Peace".
The host/supervisor of this event is World Military Culture EXPO Gyeryong Organizing Committee, led by Mr. Yu Byeong-hun as the secretary-general.
The official events consist of three parts: Inauguration Ceremony, Opening Ceremony, and Closing Ceremony. Within the duration, various programs are set to happen such as Performance, Experience, Outdoor Programs, Academic and International Conferences, and many more. Furthermore, there will be pavilions to highlight the theme of said event including World Peace Pavilion, Korean Hope Pavilion, Future Pavilion, Korean National Defense Pavilion, etc.
