Cooperation between Buyeo-gun and KAGRO in the U.S. and Canada for the marketing of Buyeo, a cultural history, and tourism city, has begun.

KAGRO held a meeting on export marketing Goodtrae, a local agricultural product brand in Buyeo-gun during the 20th World Korean Business Conference at Ulsan Exhibition and Convention Center (UECO) on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

KAGRO's Chairman Ju-Han Kim (김주한) said, "The role of KAGRO is to help our country," and "We will do our best for Buyeo-gun". Joong-Chul Kim, chairman of the California of KAGRO Association, who attended this meeting, said, "A special strategy is needed to export Korean agricultural products to California because California has the world's best agricultural product and cultivated area."

Buyeogun(부여군) Governor Park Jeong-Hyeon(박정현) expressed his gratitude to Keggro through his staff Lee Woo-soon. Lee Woo-soon also asked the KAGRO to visit Buyeo and enjoy the taste of Goodtrae.

 

Kang Dea-hoon, CEO of WalkintoKorea (워크인투코리아), who is consulting on GoodTrae marketing, requested whether it would be possible to promote Goodtrae at KAGRO 20,000 member stores in the US and Canada. He also asked that KAGRO invest in Buyeo-gun, saying, "Only if provincial cities can survive, Korea can survive"

 

 

Buyeo-gun's exports recorded $113.3 million,113.3 million dollars, which corresponds to 21% of the agricultural and food exports of Chungcheongnam-do as a whole. This is the highest percentage in the group. In 2020, 41 items including ginseng, melons, cherry tomatoes, and chestnuts were exported to 27 countries around the world. KAGRO(The International Korean Grocers and Licensed Beverage Association) is a Korean-American managed grocers store and supermarket organization with 20,000 members in the United States and Canada, with annual sales of 15 billion dollars.
