An exhibition integrating new technologies with Korean content will be opened in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Nov. 15 said it will co-organize "Korea: Cubically Imagined," an exhibition under the theme of technological convergence, with the Korea Creative Content Agency from Nov. 16 to Dec. 4 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Hosted in New York, Washington and Guanajuato, Mexico, this year, the exhibition will showcase Korean content such as pop music, cinema and cultural heritage integrated with the latest technologies including visual special effects, virtual (VR) and augmented reality, and artificial intelligence.

The event will feature two flagship pieces of content among the 20 attractive installations presented through the fusion of technology and intellectual property.

A group of people in Mexico on Nov. 12 see the exhibition "Korea: Cubically Imagined," with the main scenes from the BTS concert held in April in Las Vegas recreated in the background.

First, the main scenes from BTS' April concert in Las Vegas are recreated through three-dimensional LED screens, concert sound, lighting and special effects.

Using VR technology, a background featuring the mansion's living room, basement floor and semi-basement residence shown in "Parasite," the Korean film that won the top honors at the Cannes Festival of France and Academy Awards of the U.S., will be presented to allow viewers to see the film from a character's perspective.

The Korean media art company D'strict, which is known abroad for works like "Royal Procession with the People" and the visual media piece "Wave" located at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul, will display content like "Waterfall" and "Beach-Aurora" at the upcoming event. It will also show works specifically created for the UAE event like "Be Driven By the Sand."

The exhibition will run at Dubai's Mall of the Emirates from Nov. 16-30 and the Korean Cultural Center in Abu Dhabi from Nov. 20 to Dec. 4. The event is free but the number of visitors per session is limited to 100.

More information on the exhibition in Dubai is on the event's official website, http://cubicallyimagine.cafe24.com, while details on the Abu Dhabi event is on the KCC's website, https://uae.korean-culture.org
