Roasting Chestnuts Over an Open Fire in Gongju

Winter Gongju Roasted Chestnut Festival(겨울공주 군밤축제) is taking place from 10th to 12th January 2020

They are expecting many visitors for this year's festival, so they are going to prepare more large braziers, chestnuts roasting zones, and large-scale fire pits.

Besides, they prepare 25 booths for direct dealing chestnuts markets and 15 food booths for selling processed chestnuts goods. Also, they offer ten kinds of different roasted chestnuts food and the Gongju Chestnuts(Al-Bam) Lunch Boxes by the 2019 Gongju Chestnuts(Al-Bam) Cooking Competition winner.
Interestingly, you can watch some fascinating roasted chestnuts sellers' performances wearing ushanka around the Gongju Hanok Village(공주한옥마을), that will make many visitors stimulate their nostalgia from the old memories.

The leading visiting group for the festival is a family unit with children. Considering those family visitors, they offer some family programs such as hot air ballooning, indoor playground, folk games using chestnuts, etc. Children can even enjoy sliding over the snow on the snow sled site in Gongju Natural Forest Resort Village(공주 산림휴양마을).
