On November 22, 2022, Global Trade Cooperatives appointed Kang Dea-hoon, CEO of WalkintoKorea, as the 3rd chairman through an extraordinary general meeting held at the Social and Economic Growth Support Center (사회적경제 성장지원센터) in Daegyo Building, Dunsan-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon.

The Global Import and Export Cooperative is a multi-stakeholder cooperative established to promote trade and investment attraction while exporting high-quality Korean products and importing excellent foreign products. It seeks to increase Korea's national wealth and promote mutual growth with its members through projects such as management and import/export consulting, finding buyers, and supporting overseas market development.

Kang Dea-hoon, the new chairman, is a global marketer and an expert in trade and investment attraction. Through his impressions of the election, the new Chairman Kang Dae-hoon said, “I will contribute to the development of society through the development of the cooperative’s internal capabilities and practical management education and global start-up training.” He also said that he would promote “an expert-centered task force team seeking ways to involve not only large corporations but also small but strong local companies in the future new city of NEOM,” which was triggered by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s recent visit to Korea.
