The annual Hanbok Model Contest from April through June will be held in major Korean cities as well as France from May to August.
The Seoul-based World Culture Association on Feb. 8 said the event will be held 11 times consecutively in the domestic cities of Seoul, Incheon, Busan, Gwangju, Daegu, Ulsan, Daejeon, Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do Province, and Chungju, Chungcheongbuk-do Province.
The contest is open to all Korean and foreign women living in Korea who were born before 2010.
The annual competition was launched in 2017.
This year's Global Hanbok Model Contest will be held in Paris from May to August.
Launched in 2018 and held abroad every year like in France and Thailand, this competition selects models to promote Hanbok to the world under the theme "Anyone in the World Can be a Hanbok Model" (unofficial translation).
Women age 19 or older living in France can enter the competition regardless of nationality.
