The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism(문화체육관광부) decided to close five national performance organizations, including the National Theater, until March 8 (Sun) due to the spread of COVID-19.

Five National Performance organizations:  National Theater of Korea(국립중앙극장), National Gugak Center(국립국악원) (including three local Korean traditional music centers including Busan, Namdo, Folklore), Jeongdong Theater(정동극장), Myeongdong Arts Theater(명동예술극장), and Asia Culture Center(국립아시아문화전당).

Seven national art groups: National Theatre Company of Korea(국립극단), Korea National Ballet(국립발레단), Korea National Opera(국립오페라단), Korea National Contemporary Dance Company(국립현대무용단), National Chorus of Korea(국립합창단), Seoul Performing Arts Company(서울예술단), and Korean Symphony Orchestra(코리아심포니오케스트라)
