On the March 14th, the Daejeon Metropolitan Branch of the Federation of Artistic & Cultural Organization of Korea (한국예총 대전광역시연합회) (Chairman Seong Nak-won) announced that they had signed a business agreement with VNK TV home shopping (Chairman Chung Il-hwan - 정일환) to promote Daejeon arts through the provision of video and broadcast contents and to promote the development of both organizations, such as animation and webtoon education.
The business agreement ceremony, held in the Daejeon Yechong conference room on that day, was attended by Chairman Seong Nak-won, Chairman Jung Il-hwan of VNK, and Cheon Myeong-hwan (천명환) - Director of the Office of International Cooperation at Mokwon University (목원대학교), and other relevant personnel.
This particular business agreement is the first since Chairman Seong was newly elected as chairman of the Daejeon Yechong. It involves mutual cooperation between the two organizations on several areas. These include the use of their contents and video materials to broadcast various arts and cultural contents of the Daejeon Yechong through VNK TV for promotion. They also aim to collect various arts and cultural contents necessary for broadcasting and ensure effective broadcasting with the cooperation of the national federation of arts and culture societies. Additionally, there will be joint cooperation on the development of various business platform programs and mutual cooperation on the use of basic infrastructure of both organizations.
In addition, through this agreement, they plan to create a mascot animation character like Pororo (뽀로로) for VNK TV home shopping, and use it in live commerce broadcasts in real-time. The character will be created through a contest for students in related departments at Mokwon University.
The Daejeon Yechong plans to open an academy for animation production education and webtoon creation education in Vietnam in order to educate professionals. Also, as TikTok is quite popular in Vietnam, they plan to train influencers through the TikTok Business Academy (show host education) and operate live commerce broadcasts concurrently with TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
