When I come to Daejeon for the first time, I quickly felt that Daejeon is a dull and not exciting city. However, once people adapt to life in Daejeon, they never want to leave since it is one of the best places to live in South Korea. The public traffic is super convenient as well as not very complicated when compared with other big cities. Besides, its weather is not harsh, warmer than Seoul in winter, and windier than Daegu in summer.
Hanbat Arboretum(한밭수목원) - Place for sharing time with friends and family
I think one of the most popular places in Daejeon is probably Hanbat Arboretum(한밭수목원). This place is like Han Riverside in Seoul, where people can have a quality of time with friends and family by taking a stroll around the park. Primarily, it is the best place for planning a picnic party under the cherry blossom tree during Springtime.
Eunhaengdong(은행동) - Shopping and Culture street
For a medium-sized city, Daejeon has a variety of active nightlife. The main areas for nightlife would be Eunhaengdong(은행동) culture Street and Dunsandong(둔산동). There are more than 150 active businesses related to art and culture, including concert halls, art galleries, and antique stores. Even the culture street is not as big as Seoul shopping streets like Hongdae, Myungdong, or Dongdaemun, and it is a famous tourist attraction where displays a range of content providing both entertainment and publicity.
Dunsandong(둔산동)- Best place for Club, Nightlife
In Dusandong, people can easily find shopping malls such as Time square or Western-style dance club. As the same as club street in a big city, it is considered as “Never sleep street,” people are more crowded, and the atmosphere is more bustling at night. It is a fantastic site for young people.
