Students from Hyehwa Girls' Middle School on May 12 perform Dongnae hakchum (crane dance) at this year's Busan Folk Arts Competition (unofficial translation) held at Baegunpo Sports Park in Busan's Nam-gu District. The dance expresses the movements of the crane and is indigenous to the city's Dongnae-gu District. To run through May 13, the event will have about 800 participants spanning 25 teams showcase intangible cultural heritage and other traditional folk performing arts.
