Collaborative Efforts in Chungcheong Tourism Started at the Conference

At the '2023 Chungcheong Mega City Tourism Forum' (2023 충청권 메가시티 관광포럼) held on May 26th, the Tourism Sciences Society of Korea (TOSOK - 한국관광학회) and the Chungcheong Regional Tourism Promotion Council(CRTPC) signed an MOU for the revitalization of the Chungcheong’s local tourism industry.

The Forum, organized both by TOSOK and CRTPC was held at the Daejeon Convention Center on May 26th, and brought together key industry stakeholders, including renowned experts and directors of tourism from Chungcheong’s two metropolitan cities and two Provinces.

The momentous signing ceremony highlighted the unity and commitment of industry leaders to drive positive change in Chungcheong's tourism landscape.

The momentous signing ceremony, attended by Ph.D. Ko Kye-Sung (President of TOSOK and Professor of Kyungnam University), Park Seung-Won (Director of Tourism Promotion, Daejeon City), Jang Woo Sung (Director of Chungbuk Province Tourism), and Kim Tae Hoon (Director of Sejong City Tourism), highlighted the unity and commitment of industry leaders to drive positive change in Chungcheong's tourism landscape.

The Chungcheong Area Tourism Promotion Conference served as a dynamic platform for charting the course of tourism development in the region.

Focused on illuminating the vision and addressing crucial tasks for the development of tourism in the Chungcheong region, the Forum dealt with notably special agenda items such as night tourism, workcation, Cheongju International Airport, and the Sejong National Garden project, igniting discussions on innovative strategies to enhance the region's tourism potential.

This significant event brought together key industry stakeholders, including renowned experts and directors from various tourism departments.
