A giant (330,000 m2) area of land surrounded by mountains and hiking trails. Its free entrance is a surprise considering the land values in this country, but its also a much welcoming feature, giving the visitors an access to Memorial Tower, Memorial Gate, Patriotic Spirit Exhibition Center, exhibition space with military equipment as well as an array of fountains, sculptures, statues and a traditional pagoda with pond (which happens to be in the shape of the Korean Peninsula!)

Rumor has it that the first king of the Joseon Dynasty himself has dunked his weary feet into the healing waters of the Yuseong Spa, so why don’t you follow in his historic footsteps and rest your feet for a while after a long day of hiking and sightseeing!
Within walking distance from Yuseong Hot Spring are the two famous universities – Chungnam National University and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). The area between the two is called Gung-dong and you can definitely find a lot of tasty dinner and drinks spots by just walking around.
