The organizing committee, which has been promoting the event by traveling to local events and festivals across the country, announced and promoted the competition by handing out leaflets to visitors.

The Chungcheong 2027 FISU World University Games Organizing Committee visited Juknokwon in Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do, where the Bamboo Festival was held.

This festival has been running for 23 years in Damyang, a paradise of bamboo. It is held for 5 days starting on May 11th and ending on the 15th and is gaining popularity nationwide, with 630,000 people attending from last year. The festival includes many programs such as sculptures, experiences, and games using bamboo, as well as various types of performances.

Visitors from all over the country showed interest by asking questions about the competition with curious expressions as the organizing committee staff wearing shoulder straps introduced the competition and handed out leaflets. A visitor to the festival in Gwangju said, “In the past, I volunteered at the Gwangju Universiade, so I obviously know the event well. Today I heard for the first time that the name has been changed to the FISU World University Games. I hope it will be widely known and be a success”.

The Chungcheong 2027 FISU World University Games will be held in 4 cities and provinces (Daejeon, Sejong, North Chungcheong, and South Chungcheong) for 12 days from August 1 to 12, 2027, and will be held in over 150 countries around the world. About 15,000 people will participate with a total of 18 events will be held.
