The National Gugak Center in August hosts every Friday at 8 p.m. a gugak (traditional music) concert at Umyeon-dang (Small Hall). The event, offering a variety of gugak performances blended with other art genres, presents extraordinary and never-before-seen shows ranging from a duet of the cello and the gayageum (zither) to a collaboration between the latter instrument and tap dance. Creative and special performances at the center always draw large audiences. Ticket reservations are advised when possible and sitting at every other seat is being implemented due to COVID-19. Class A seats are KRW 20,000 each and those of Class B KRW 10,000 each.
