Representatives from China, Japan and South Korea Discussed Animation Cooperation in "Cloud Meeting" at the Chengdu Creativity&Design Week

CHENGDU, China, Nov. 9, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- On November 6th, 2020, the 7th Chengdu Creativity&Design Week opened. This creative event focuses on industry, fashion, space, cultural tourism and digital creative design, and highlighted the digital cultural and creative industry represented by animation.

Participating in the Chengdu Creativity&Design Week for the first time is the Japan Animation Association and its member units, which come to China for promotion. The representative of Tokyo Animation Awards, Ms. Kuroda, introduced the winning works, award selection process and competition methods over the years, and invited Chengdu Animation Company to participate in the competition.

During the 7th Chengdu Creativity&Design Week, Chinese and Japanese animators exchanged their ideas through an online real-time meeting. Chengdu's animation enterprises represented by Chengdu Aierpingfang Culture Communication Co., Ltd. shared the production and promotion of Chinese cinema animation with Japanese animation enterprises, showing the exuberant vitality and creativity of Chengdu's animation industry.

Participating in the Chengdu Creativity&Design Week for the first time is the Japan Animation Association and its member units, which come to China for promotion. The representative of Tokyo Animation Awards, Ms. Kuroda, introduced the winning works, award selection process and competition methods over the years, and invited Chengdu Animation Company to participate in the competition. Ms. Kuroda said: "For animation companies in Chengdu, their works can be directly screened in Japan if they participate in and win awards at the Tokyo Animation Awards. That is a good channel to expand their overseas influence and open up the international market." Well-known Japanese animation companies such as Asahi Shimbun, Japan Animation, PICONA and GONZO also shared their experiences in copyright cooperation and production. Also, Chengdu Animation Enterprises and students from Digital Animation Institute of Chengdu University plan to study and exchange in Japan after the epidemic situation in Japan.

At another 2020 China, Japan and South Korea cultural and art festival, Quan Yuhe, a representative of South Korea's Picto studio, presented the popular South Korean cartoon "Penguin Polulu".

During the sharing, Korean companies also hope to break the constraints of regions and cooperate to produce more animation works that can enter the international market.
