Geumsan-gun will start building Bangu-ri Eco-Tourism Theme Park from next year to 2023.
Bangu-ri, which was difficult to access due to lack of roads, was consulted with the Geumgang River Basin Environment Agency in July and is seeking to open a connecting road between Sutong-ri and Bangu-ri. Currently, monitoring services for legal protection are underway.
In addition to its excellent natural scenery, the county plans to restore the ecosystem of Bangu-ri, home to various wildlife such as endangered species, to create a natural ecological cultural tourism destination for the entire nation.
To that end, 5.5 billion won will be spent on the project, and the county plans to establish a comprehensive master plan for eco-tourism in the first half of next year and set up facilities for the conservation of the natural environment by the end of the year.
A county official said, "We are planning to create a hub for eco-tourism through the beautiful natural scenery of Bangu-ri." adding, "We will make all-out efforts to promote the project so that we can preserve natural resources and showcase them to visitors.“
