Greeting the new year of 2021, a photo zone for happy new year’s wishes has been installed at the entrance of a traditional house in Namsangol Hanok Village, and an online event for this occasion will be held until Sun, Jan. 31, 2021. The ornately decorated photo zone was set up on the entry stairs of a traditional house in front of a large yard to wish bypassing visitors a happy new year.

The photo zone comprises patterns of goblins, bats, chickens, and the character for fortune (福) to wish for the best in overcoming COVID-19. With the neon sign that reads “Let’s All Be Happy and Healthy,” the photo zone aims to deliver a hopeful message for a happy and healthy 2021 upon the realization of the importance of normal life in 2020.

At the same time, an online photo event is ongoing on Namsangol Hanok Village’s Facebook and Instagram accounts. By taking a photo at the photo zone and uploading it on social media with the hashtag #코진감래, which means “COVID-19 has a silver lining,” 50 people will be randomly selected to receive red bean porridge giftcons.
