Determination to hold the 24th Boryeong Mud Festival, which is enjoyed both online and offline in Boryeong City.

The 24th Boryeong Mud Festival will be held online and offline at Daecheon Beach from July 23 to August 1.

To this end, Boryeong City will come up with a step-by-step hosting plan for the COVID-19 situation and adjust the ratio of online and offline events after judging the final situation by the end of this month.

Boryeong City held its 51st board meeting at the Boryeong Mud Museum on the 6th with officials including Chairman Kim Dong-il (Boryeong Mayor) and director of the Boryeong Festival Tourism Foundation.

The 24th Boryeong Mud Festival will attempt a new method of linking online and offline content to two-way live broadcasts under the slogan 'On & Off'.

Through this, Boryeong City plans to prepare for an online and offline hybrid festival that can share various tourism resources and food in Boryeong together beyond the concept of a simple online festival.

In particular, offline content management will introduce flexible programs suitable for Corona 19 situations and prepare a thorough quarantine system for the safety of tourists and citizens participating in the festival.

In addition, the board of directors considered holding the 25th Boryeong Mud Festival Fair, the second supplementary budget in 2021, the revised articles of association of the Boryeong Festival Tourism Foundation, and the selection of executive recommendation committee members.

An official who attended the board meeting said, "Since we decided to be an online and offline festival in the COVID-19 situation, it is most important to create a festival that tourists and citizens can enjoy safely.“

Mayor Kim Dong-il said, "The Boryeong Mud Festival held last year has been selected as a preemptive model for the Non-face-to-face Festival. As the fair is just a year away, please prepare thoroughly to become a safe and energetic festival at a time when this year's festival is exhausted by COVID-19.“
