2023 K-Royal Culture Festival

2023-05-02     By Visit Seoul

The K-Royal Culture Festival is Korea’s most significant cultural heritage festival, held against the backdrop of Korea’s representative cultural heritages: Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Gyeonghuigung Palace, Jongmyo Shrine, and Sajikdan Altar. Started in 2015, the K-Royal Culture Festival, which was officially launched after a pilot program in 2014, presents cultural and artistic programs every year, such as performances, exhibitions, experiences, and ceremonies that utilize the historical and symbolic significance of each palace under the slogan "Today, meet the palace.”

Since 2020, the festival has expanded its venue beyond the palace grounds and presented specialized online content to accommodate non-face-to-face events. From 2021, the festival extended its offline event period, offering visitors specials twice a year, with the Spring K-Royal Culture Festival in May and the Autumn K-Royal Culture Festival in October.
