Foreigners Promoting 'Jeju Olle Walking Festival'

Sixteen foreign reporters from the Korea Tourism Supporters, participating in the festival to promote the online service

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Park Yang-woo) and the Korea Tourism Organization (President Ahn Young-bae) joined a group of foreign reporters from the Korea Tourism Supporters to promote the online service of the "2020 Jeju Olle Walking Festival" (10.23.-11.14), which opened in Jeju on the 23rd.

 

A total of 16 foreign supporters (15 nationalities) participated in the festival to promote the event. The public corporation focused on promoting online channels through SNS in the face of difficulties in moving to COVID-19 and promoting the walking festival as an international event involving both domestic and foreign tourists in the future. The Jeju Olle Walking Festival is an international event organized by Jeju Island and the Jeju Olle Corporation, which was selected for the "2020 Regional Specialized International Event Contest Project" conducted by the corporation in May this year to foster international events using unique tourism contents in the region.

 

Participants participated in the walking festival from Saturday (24th), the day after the festival's opening, and actively promoted the festival by posting news of the opening of the Jeju Olle Walking Festival using their Instagram and YouTube. On Saturday, he also visited Jeju Folk Village, one of the "2020 Korea's representative unique conference places" (Korea Unique Venue), to share various opinions on the Jeju Olle Walking Festival.
