According to the agreement, Mokwon University and Hau Giang Province will cooperate in providing study abroad support, Korean language education and cultural exchange, employment education, and learning development exchange for students from Hau Giang selected to cultivate corporate talent.
Mokwon University, which has signed agreements with excellent overseas universities to build a ‘Global Shared Campus’, is also establishing a three-dimensional support system through agreements with overseas local governments and related organizations.
The global shared campus refers to a comprehensive cooperation system that goes beyond exchange and cooperation between domestic and overseas universities to open and share curriculum, educational resources, and educational facilities.
The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Hau Giang, Vietnam stated, “Through cooperation with Mokwon University, we are looking forward to developing various study abroad programs and nurturing excellent talents who can contribute to the development of Hau Giang Province after graduation.”
“So far, the partnership strategy between Vietnam and Korea has developed very strongly and achieved meaningful results in many fields,” said Ho Thu Anh, vice-chairman of Hau Giang People’s Committee.
Hau Giang Province, located in the Mekong River Delta in southern Vietnam, currently has more than 20,000 high school students, and is considered one of the regions with great potential for nurturing talent.
Currently, about 100 students from Hau Giang Province and more than 1,000 Vietnamese students are enrolled at Mokwon University.
President Lee Hee-hak expressed his words, “Mokwon University is developing and operating various education and support policies for foreign students,” added, “I hope that more students from Hau Giang Province can achieve their academic dreams at Mokwon University, the most innovative university in the central region".
Mokwon University is in the process of building a global shared campus at universities in China, Mongolia, and Vietnam. In November of last year, a business agreement was signed with China's Shandong Foreign Studies and Vocational University to build a global shared campus, and in December of the same year, a business agreement was signed with Mongolia's Khure University of Information and Communication, Mongolian University of Humanities, and Vietnam's Trade Union University. .
