Starting from May 18, with the support of Daejeon Support Center for Foreign Residents (Director Kim Yun-hee) affiliated with Daejeon Public Agency for Service Center (Director Kim In-sik), Daejeon Film Association will hold an 8-week workshop program for Daejeon citizens and Vietnamese students.
By selecting 15 students, this workshop will create a film narrative based on their stories, and allowing them to appear in the film and experience the film production process. Directed by director Bae Ki-won, who has been working on independent films in Daejeon, this project will provide a special experience to both participants and audiences.
Director Bae expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am happy to promote international cultural exchange by providing opportunities for foreign students living in Daejeon to explore and encounter K-movies through this workshop.”
This project was organized by Daejeon Film Association, one of the three teams selected for the ‘2024 Daejeon Global Volunteer Corps’ project. The series will be started with a briefing session at Commons Field Daejeon at 3 o'clock on May 11th, and will be held every Saturday afternoon from the 18th.
