The government and K-Water are working to spread the value of precious water and establish a water demand management system through the activation of WASCO, and will provide consulting on water conservation projects to the National Assembly, local governments, universities, military units, etc.
* WASCO is one of the means of water conservation in which registered companies specializing in water conservation invest in improving water facilities, such as reducing pipe leaks and installing water savers, and recovering project costs through reduced water bills.
As part of these consulting activities, this agreement supports the Korea Road Traffic Authority's water conservation projects by investigating and diagnosing water-using facilities, and promotes the importance of water management, including water conservation, through Korea Transport Broadcasting, a broadcasting medium operated by the Corporation.
Moon Sook-joo (문숙주), head of the water supply division at K-Water stated, “This is our responsibility as a public corporation specializing in water to lead the way in promoting water conservation policies to secure a future water supply and to publicize the importance of water”, adding, “This cooperation will become a helpful example and be useful for the future generations.”
