Dong-gu, Daejeon (District Mayor Hwang In-ho) announced on the 5th that it will hold the 1st Tourism Souvenir Contest under the theme of 'Tourism Goods Containing Dong-gu', which is about tourism resources, history, and special products of Dong-gu.

Applications for the public offering can be made to individuals or businesses residing in Dong-gu, and the public announcement period is July 23rd, and the reception period is from July 26 to July 30. The entry standard is a souvenir that symbolizes Dong-gu, Daejeon, and each individual (company) can submit less than three works.

The district will receive the first application form and product manual through mail and e-mail (qld0@korea.kr) within the reception period and will receive the second visit to the entries within the reception period.

Also, the district plans to select a total of 12 works from the contest, including ▲ 1 grand prize (3 million won) ▲ 1 gold prize (2 million won) ▲ 2 silver prizes (1.5 million won) ▲ 3 bronze prizes (500,000 won) ▲ 5 encouragement awards (200,000 won). When holding festivals in the future, the district plans to use them in various ways, such as operating a souvenir exhibition booth.

Hwang In-ho, Mayor of Dong-gu District, said, "We expect that this contest will be designed by residents or businesses living or located in Dong-gu District to produce souvenirs with Dong-gu's unique characteristics. We hope many people will be interested in and submit excellent works to create a tourist city, Dong-gu.“
