The Halal-Friendly Tour Coordinator Training Course
The Halal-Friendly Tour Coordinator Training Course

The Halal-Friendly Tour Coordinator training course, hosted by Halal Korea(할랄코리아) and All that Growing(올댓그로잉), sponsored by Seoul Startup Hub and Seoul Business Agency, has started its 5-day schedule from (Monday) 8th, July 2019 to (Friday) 12th, July, 2019.
The Halal-Friendly Tour Coordinator training course is aimed at students who are interested in starting a venture business for Muslim tourism, which is a market with a great potential for the Korean tourism market, and also job markets for Muslim countries.

The course curriculum includes a broad understanding of Islamic culture, Islamic culture and tourism, understanding Halal-friendly products, communication skills for Halal-Friendly services, and operating accommodation facilities for Muslim-friendly tourism. They provide a wide range of contents from a broad understanding of Islamic culture and tourism to business skills for Muslim tourists.

Currently, the world's Muslim population is estimated at 1.8 billion people from 57 countries, and according to Korean tourism organization, about 870,000 Muslim tourists had visited Korea during the year of 2017. Furthermore, they say that Muslim tourists have about 30% more purchasing power than Chinese tourists.
It is necessary to actively introduce Muslim-friendly elements to the existing tourism infrastructure while actively introducing Halal certified restaurants and prayer facilities in order for Korea to become a more Muslim-friendly country in preparation for the increasing number of Muslim tourists.

In the near future, spreading the Halal-Friendly tour coordinator programs throughout the country is expected to do away with stereotypes about Muslims and fostering Muslim-Friendly tourism as a new alternative to the Korean tourism market.
