Top chefs around the world to gather at The 19th Seoul International Food & Tableware Festival

The 19th Seoul International Food & Tableware Festival | World Food Olympics Seoul | World Gourmet Festival is going to be a must-join for all foodies!

The 19th Seoul International Food & Tableware Festival, an opportunity to observe the latest trends in various food cultures such as food space and food design production, will be held as a representative place for food exchange in the global village on May this year.

This year's 19th event will be co-hosted by the World Food and Culture Center (WFCC) and Korea Food Coordinator Association (KFCA) at Yangjae aT Center for three days from May 6 to 8, with the participation of representative chefs from 8 overseas WTCO member countries, professional chefs, small business owners, major domestic restaurant industry, and tableware-related manufacturers. Mongolian and Vietnamese chefs also take part.

In particular, the event is sponsored by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Industrial Manpower Corporation, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

Meanwhile, at the International Top Chef Grand Prix, which will be held as a special event, about 3,200 representative chefs from eight WTCO member countries from cooking, bakery, dessert competition, food stylization, wine, rice/kimchi/coffee sommelier, and Young Meister participate in the international competition.

In addition, The 19th Seoul International Food & Tableware Festival 2022 will feature a special exhibition of works by food culture masters and top Meisters, a bazaar of love, and an invitation to star food coordinators, and WTCO General Assembly.

Madame Yang Hyang-ja, chairman of the World Food and Culture Center (WFCC), who hosts this event, said, “I hope that today’s event will become a place for active exchange and sharing among many domestic and foreign officials related to food culture based on the know-how of the past 19 years. I hope that, among those gathered here, there will be many great talents who can greatly contribute to the development of the entire field of Korean food life.” 

Mr. Kim Ho-il, chairman of the Korea Senior Citizens Association, who is in charge of the organizing committee of the event, said, “Through the Seoul International Tableware Fair Food Festival, we will make a great contribution to the globalization of Korean food and the development of dietary life.”
