On Feb 28, Bon IF's premium Korean lunch box, Bon Lunchbox, will carry out the brand's representative social contribution, 'Bon Lunchbox, Birthday Special' until the end of this year.

'Bon Lunchboxes, Birthday Special', which is in its 4th year this year, is a social contribution planned by Bon Lunchbox to celebrate the birthdays of group home children who live in facilities or grow up in an unsafe environment and have little experience in birthday parties for themselves. The main content is to support the purchase cost of birthday gifts.

Accordingly, since 2019, when the 'Bon Lunchbox, Birthday Special' was released, these lunchboxes have had significance in improving self-esteem and forming emotional bonds among members of group home children who have relatively little experience in birthday parties for themselves. Together, they have been contributing to the well-being of society.

In the past three years, after supporting the birthday parties of 213 children living in 119 group homes for the past three years, the company plans to support an annual donation of 45 million won this year.

In the meantime, it was found that group home children who had a birthday party together felt that they were completely loved and that they were special through 'Bon Lunchbox, Birthday is Special'. In fact, in a survey of children from 72 group homes, more than half responded that “it helped in various areas, such as emotional stability and a sense of belonging, strengthening intimacy with group home children, and improving narcissism.”

Lee Jae-Eui, general manager of the Bon Lunchbox Headquarters, said, “Bon Lunchbox has been conducting this social contribution for the 4th year this year to provide special experiences and memories by looking at customers as well as children through ‘Premium Lunch Box’, a Korean food. We will make a social contribution that looks at every corner of our society,” he said.

Park Se-hee, in charge of the Korea Children's and Youth Group Home Council, said, "Birthday party with Bon Lunchbox has been established as a group home event and has been receiving steady attention as it has been running 'Bon Lunchbox, Birthday is Special' for three years." "Together, we will work together so that group home children can feel how precious and loved they are and grow up healthy.”
