Daejeon Shinsegae Art & Science (hereafter, Daejeon Shinsegae) held the 1st Daejeon Shinsegae Regional Talent Hope Scholarship Delivery Ceremony at 11AM on the 28th and delivered 130 million won in scholarships to 130 middle and high school students in the area. The delivery ceremony was held on this day in the presence of Kim Nak-Hyeon, CEO of Daejeon Shinsegae, and Bae Sung-Geun, Deputy Superintendent of Education at Daejeon Metropolitan City Office of Education, Kim Ga-Hwan, Deputy Mayor of Yuseong-gu, and Choi Seung-In, Daejeon Regional Headquarters of the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation on behalf of the scholarship recommendation institution.
The Shinsegae Hope Scholarship is an annual event held by Shinsegae Department Store to support local youths who are nurturing hope even in a poor educational environment. Daejeon Shinsegae will hold the first hope scholarship delivery ceremony this year since it opened last year. Daejeon Shinsegae prepared the Shinsegae Hope Scholarship to support youth who will lead the future of the local community and participate in win-win growth with the local community as a local corporation.
Scholarships are given to youths from various regions, including basic livelihood benefits and second-class youths, youths with disabilities/incurable diseases, youths from multicultural families/grandchildren, children of military and commercial police officers, and small and medium-sized business partners in Daejeon Shinsegae. Kim Nak-Hyeon, CEO of Daejeon Shinsegae, said, "We have prepared a scholarship project to support local teenagers who are firmly focused on their studies and serve as good deeds despite difficult environments.
