The Daejeon City Tourism Association held the 49th Tourism Day commemorative event at the Radomus Art Center in Yuseong-gu on October 14.
Commemorate ceremony

 

Organized by the Daejeon City Tourism Association, the event was organized to boost and establish the morale of tourism workers in the travel industry who suffered from COVID-19, and to strengthen communication between member companies.
More than 150 people attended the event, including Yang Dong-ki (양동기), president of Daejeon City Tourism Association, Moon In-hwan (문인환), director of Daejeon Metropolitan City, Kang Dae-chul (강대철), president of Sejong City Administrative Capital de facto of Korea, Lee Eun-sang (이은상), president of Chungnam Tourism Association, and tourism workers.
At the ceremony, commendations were given, including the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism award, to 16 distinguished people who devoted themselves to the development of local tourism.
Choi Myung-eun (최명이), CEO of the Tour Line, received a commendation from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Kang Dea-hoon (강대훈), CEO of WalkintoKorea, and six others won the Daejeon Metropolitan City Mayor's Commendation, while Kang Hee-kyung (강희경) and two others received commendations for merit in the Korea Tourism Association's Commendation.

Prior to the ceremony, Oh Hyung-soo (오형수), CEO of Education Consulting, gave a lecture under the title of Understanding Tourism Trends and Advancing Service Minds.
Yang Dong-yi (양동기), president of the Association, said, "As the end of COVID-19 is just around the corner, industry, academia, government, and the people will join forces to recover the tourism ecosystem," adding, "Let's not be discontented and try your best to develop the tourism industry."
