Kim Hong-hyun, a distinguished director in the field of film and theater, has been appointed as the 17th chairman of the Daejeon Metropolitan Branch of the Federation of Korean Filmmakers.

Choi Soon-hee (최순희), Kim Jong-il (김정일), Won Jong-mi (원정미) elected as vice chairmen, and Jeong Tae-hyeon (정태현), Yoon Yeo-bong (윤여봉) elected as auditors.

 

Kim Hong-hyun, a distinguished director in the field of film and theater, has been appointed as the 17th chairman of the Daejeon Metropolitan Branch of the Federation of Korean Filmmakers (한국영화인총연합회 대전광역시지회). The newly elected vice chairmen are Choi Soo-hee (a talented actress and singer), Kim Jong-il (the representative of Daejeon Movie Love Meeting - 대전영화사랑모임), and Won Jong-mi (the representative of One Entertainment - 원엔터테인먼트), while Jeong Tae-hyeon (the representative of One Agency - 원기획) and Yoon Yeo-bong (the representative of Channel One - 채널원) have been elected as auditors.

 

The Daejeon Filmmakers Association's executive election management committee organized a scheduled gathering on the 2nd of the preceding month at Daelim Hanjeongsik (대림한정식) in Seonhwa-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon. Thirty-two out of 54 participants were in attendance, and an executive election was carried out. The chairman, vice-chairman, and auditor were selected with a unanimous vote and a round of applause. They are now the newly appointed executives in charge of leading the local video industry.

The term of office for newly elected Chairman Kim Hong-hyun, Vice Chairman, and Auditor is until February 2026, leading the Daejeon Filmmakers Association for 3 years.

 

In his acceptance speech, Chairman Kim expressed his gratitude to the previous chairman and all members who worked hard for the status and authority of the Daejeon Filmmakers Association, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and emphasized that he would work hard for the happiness of Daejeon citizens, support for members' film production activities, and the harmony and growth of the Daejeon Filmmakers Association.

 

Meanwhile, Seong Nak-won (성낙원), who is stepping down from his current position, was chosen as the leader of the Daejeon Metropolitan Daejeon Metropolitan Branch of the Federation of Artistic & Cultural Organization of Korea (한국예총 대전광역시연합회장) on February 24th. He commenced his four-year tenure as the head of the Daejeon Arts Center (대전예술의전당).
