Daejeon city has announced a special SNS event from May 3 to May 12 to celebrate the 100-day countdown to the "Daejeon Midnight Festival" scheduled to be held in August.
According to the announcement, 100 randomly selected participants who submit the correct answer will receive a beverage gift certificate.
Daejeon City's Director of Culture and Tourism (대전시 문화관광국장), No Ki-soo (노기수), said, "Since the citizens are the main characters of the Daejeon Midnight Festival and the festival is created together with the citizens, we ask for your active participation in this event. We will do our best to make the Daejeon Midnight Festival a fun festival, an economic revival festival, and a world-renowned festival."
The "Daejeon Midnight Festival" will be held from August 11 to 17 for seven days, with a one-kilometer road section from the former Chungnam Provincial Office to Daejeon Station closed to traffic, and the festival will take place in the downtown area, including Jungang-ro and the central business district.
Meanwhile, the city has been actively preparing for the festival, including appointing a festival director with rich experience and professionalism, and holding a kickoff meeting for event staff.
