Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is heading to London, England to host K-tourism roadshow “축제 Korea Now” from June 8 to 10, 2023. The event seeks to promote the charms of traveling in Korea through K-culture to the Gen-Z in commemoration of Visit Korea Year 2023-24 and the 140th anniversary of S. Korea-UK relations.
The roadshow will kick off with the K-Culture Show at the V&A Museum in London to showcase the diverse aspects of Korean culture, including media, art, and performances. The event involves personnel from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST), KTO, and the Korean Embassy in the UK as well as individuals and businesses involved in the media and tourism industry.
The main event will take place on June 10 at Outernet London. Promotional videos of Korea’s major tourist attractions, including Cheong Wa Dae and Tourism Hub Cities, as well as hallyu content and media art will be featured through the world’s largest LED screen. In addition, visitors to the roadshow can also enjoy a variety of entertainment such as stage performances, K-pop flash mob, and mini events. Other noteworthy activities include K-street food experience, K-beauty makeup show, and Life4Cuts.
K-friends booth will also be open for Korean culture enthusiasts in the UK. The K-friends booth plans to host an on-site sign up event that comes with exclusive rewards and gifts, and a special survey where participants can receive a K-beauty sample kit and personal color self-test. Visitors to the booth are advised to stay tuned as a review event is also prepared for after the roadshow.
