The streaming service's official website Netflix Top 10 on July 11 said the drama was No. 1 in the category with 5.6 million viewing hours in the first week of this month (July 3-9).
"Celebrity" ranked first in 10 countries including Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia and Bolivia.
Released on June 30, the 12-episode series features the competition, intrigue and corruption hidden behind the glamour of celebrities with large followings on social networking services. The protagonist Seo A-ri accidentally enters the social network limelight while working as an ordinary door-to-door cosmetics sales rep and achieves fame.
Four other K-dramas also made it to the same chart's top 10.
JTBC's "King the Land" was third with 5.1 million viewing hours. TvN's "See You in My 19th Life" finished fifth with two million and "Doom at Your Service," which concluded in 2021, ninth with 1.5 million. The original Netflix Korean series "Bloodhounds" ranked seventh with 1.6 million.
Netflix Top 10 ranks content based on viewing hours and is updated on Tuesdays. Its data is gathered from about 90 countries with Netflix service.
