The Korea Halal Authority and the Global Export-Import Cooperative aim to support domestic companies in developing overseas markets by introducing and distributing products from domestic companies and small business owners, including social economy companies, to the Islamic cultural sphere. In order to pursue this to be further developed, on the 14th of September, the Korea Halal Authority and the Global Export-Import Cooperative signed a business agreement thereby securing mutual profits and establishing stable export channels to achieve mutual benefit and prosperity.

The Korea Halal Authority is assisting in the effective export of products to the Muslim market, which is emerging in the global market, by certifying that products are permitted according to Islamic religious law. This service is trusted and used by many companies because it can shorten excessive authentication costs as well as the long certification period, and eliminate the inconvenience of language communication.

The Global Export-Import Cooperative is a small business cooperative that promotes coexistence among members by exporting quality products, importing excellent overseas products, creating job opportunities, and providing import and export consulting. To this end, the Global Export-Import Cooperative is concentrating its core capabilities on the trade business, conducting events to understand the market and expand consultation opportunities, and providing corporate management and export-import consulting. Besides, training export-import management experts are also a focus.

Jin Jae-nam (진재남),  director of the Korea Halal Authority, expressed his aspiration, "There is a great need for certification consulting personnel for companies seeking halal certification, and I am confident that this business agreement will be a great help. Additionally, there are many opportunities such as overseas exhibitions, fairs, and connections with overseas buyers, and it will be much easier if domestic companies actively utilize these to open up their export routes”. “For this purpose, we are happy to be able to cooperate with the Global Export-Import Cooperative”, he furthered remarked.

Kang Dea-hoon (강대훈), Chairman of the Global Export-Import Cooperative, also stated his enthusiasm, “There are many companies seeking Halal certification. We would like to contribute to making the Korea Halal Authority gain more popularity and better known to those companies. I would also like to propose a joint investment corporation to operate this more effectively.” “By collaborating with the Korea Halal Authority, we hope to contribute significantly not only to the sales of domestic companies but also to the development of the Korea Halal Authority”, he stated, showing great expectations for future cooperation with the Korea Halal Authority.

The Korea Halal Authority and the Global Export-Import Cooperative have become a place to pledge to contribute to the growth of the two companies through win-win cooperation. Through this, we hope that many benefits will be provided to domestic companies such as social economy companies and local companies centered on small business owners.
