To celebrate Bongroup's 21st anniversary, on the 8th, the company conducted several community service activities with the participation of executives and employees.
This event is the resume of the face-to-face volunteer activities that the group has been conducting every year on its founding anniversary after four years of COVID-19 and was held in various parts of our society in need of help. This activity was conducted in Seoul and Gangwon-do with the participation of executives and employees from the three companies, including BONIF, Bon Food Service, and Pure Bon.
Based on the purpose of this event, it was essential to reflect on and practice the founding ideology of the main group "Everyone works together to achieve good”. The event added meaning by matching donations made by the company to donations voluntarily raised by executives and employees, with a total of 18.5 million won.
First, most executives and employees improved the residential environment in Dongdaemun/ Yeongdeungpo, Seoul by replacing the floor, installing shelves, and cleaning the surrounding area to ensure that the environment of local residents is safer and more hygienic. In addition, to help people enjoy simple yet hearty meals, a total of 320 supporting sets were provided, including 100 sets of pure home meal boxes (HMR) consisting of main porridge and soybean paste products and 220 boxes of cup ramen.
At the same time, some executives and employees completed other activities such as planting 195 seeds collected through tree planting and walking donations at Noeul Park (Mapo-gu, Seoul), and cleaning coastal forests around Gangneung, Gangwon-do. The flower beds of households damaged by forest fires were also completely maintained.
An official of the main group said, "The 'Anniversary of Foundation Day Volunteer Service' is so meaningful that it is a community sharing activity that is developed as part of the founding ideology of the main group, and it is a face-to-face sharing activity that resumes four years after COVID-19. Moreover, following the expansion of the target and scope of support from Seoul’s huts to forest fire-hit areas in Gangwon-do, we will carry out social contribution activities in various forms to deliver sharing to places in need in the future”.
