The 4th Walking Festa Baekje was successfully held on the 4th with the participation of many visitors. Participants walked through the Baekje Historic District in Buyeo (부여군) while feeling the red color of autumn.
The walking event was held on a 4.2km course starting from the ruins of Gwanbuk-ri to Busosanseong Fortress, Jeongnimsaji Temple Site, and Buyeo National Museum. 2,500 tourists and county residents who participated in the event enjoyed various side events in the downtown of Buyeo, including stamp tours, treasure hunts, and various massage experiences by Buyeo-gun volunteers.
Among them, one of the shining points of the event is that about 1,000 foreign tourists and international students who visited Buyeo through cooperation with Chungcheongnam-do and the Korea Tourism Organization enjoyed K-culture such as rice cake making and Baekje clothing experience.
Particularly, on this day, 16 employees of the Lotte Resort Buyeo branch participated in the ‘Plogging Volunteer Activity’ of collecting trash while jogging as part of social contribution activities, helping to clean up the environment of the event site and create a clean downtown Buyeo.
Buyeo County Governor Park Jung-hyun expressed his enthusiasm, “We are grateful that many visitors participated in the event, and we hope that it will be a meaningful time for you to appreciate Buyeo County’s long history and cultural assets, and please take care of your health”.
