On the 24th of August, Daejeon City and Daedeok Innopolis Venture Association held the ‘D-Unicorn Corporate Talent Search Project’ event at the D-Unicorn Lounge.
This event was designed to provide D-Unicorn companies with an opportunity for exclusive recruitment briefing sessions for departments related to local universities to resolve the company's recruitment difficulties and to actively promote D-Unicorn companies to local college students.
There were about 50 science and engineering students from Hanbat National University and officials from the University Job Center attended. Moreover, CEO Kim Joo-sung from LiBEST company also attended, with human resources managers and staff from each department introducing recruiting positions. A Q&A session was also delivered to answer students' questions and requirements.
Along with the status of the company in the secondary battery sector, which has recently received a lot of market attention and a rapid growth rate, students asked various questions about LiBEST’s corporate vision and hiring positions. After the event, students were still very enthusiastic to network with LiBEST Company, as they had more in-depth consultation sessions.
Students who participated in the event shared “We were satisfied as we were able to come into contact with companies in the field that we were always interested in”. They also added, “To compare with some existing recruitment fairs, this had various companies and students participated, so that we can focus on one company and have a more vivid and straight forward communication”. “This actually was a good information session”, they emphasize.
Mr. Kim Joo-sung, CEO of LiBEST said, “Today’s event was a meaningful event as we were able to introduce LiBEST to students at local universities.” He stated, “As the company is growing rapidly, we need and look for talented people who join the company. We are making every effort to improve the capabilities of our talented people”.
Han Sun-hee, head of Daejeon City's Strategic Business Promotion Office, said, “We plan to continue to promote Daejeon's representative D-Unicorn Company to local talents through those talent search projects in the future”. He added, “we will try out best to make active efforts to resolve the company's recruitment difficulties in the future”.
