On the 27th, Daejeon City held a meeting and luncheon meeting with representatives of companies that have achieved outstanding results in Daejeon's four strategic industries, including nano semiconductor, bio-health, aerospace, and defense industries.
At the meeting, there were Kim Kun-soo, CEO of Curocell, Orum Therapeutics (CEO Lee Seung-ju), YBiologics (CEO Park Yung-woo), SyntekaBio (Vice President Lee Byoung-ho), Bioneer (CEO Park Han-oh), Ahn Jae-bong, vice CEO of Contec in the space industry, and Jeong Myeong-su, CEO of Panmnesia in the semiconductors industry.
The companies that participated in the meeting were successfully listed on the KOSDAQ (Curocell, Contec, YBiologics) attracted investment (Panmnesia), and exported their technology to global pharmaceutical companies with the largest down payment in the history of domestic technology transfer. Orum Therapeutics also achieved the following results.
In particular, Curocell, which successfully completed its IPO at a time when investment in bio companies has shrunk, is the first company specializing in CAR-T treatments in Korea. Along with that, YBiologics, succeeded in re-challenged the listing based on its competitiveness in antibody new drug development technology.
Contec a space-related company that was also successfully listed, is a startup specializing in the space field that launched Korea's first commercial space ground station service.
Panmnesia is a new company founded in 2022 and achieved an investment attraction of 16 billion won this year.
In addition, SyntekaBio Co., Ltd. has established an AI new drug development infrastructure through the Supercom Center in Dungok District. Bioneer company Korea's first bio venture, is pursuing expansion into the global market, including the entry into Japan of Cosmerna, a hair loss relief cosmetic.
